Snake wine is a strong drink that includes a complete deadly snake in the bottle. It originated in Vietnam and can be found just near Southeast Asia. The snakes, preferably deadly ones, are not more often than not sealed for their animal protein but to have the snake toxin dissolved in the liquor. The snake venom is denatured by the ethanol; its proteins are unfolded and therefore inactivated.
There are two varieties of snake wine:
- Steeped: A large venomous snake can be placed into a glass jar of rice wine.
- Mixed: Body fluids of snake are mixed into wine and consumed immediately in the form of a shot.
Snake wine History:
Origin in Vietnam and is spread over the entire region of Southeast Asia and South China. Snakes generally assumed to have medical properties, and the wine is often advertised to cure everything from farsightedness to Hair Loss, and to increase sexual presentation. But many of these statements are probably exaggerated to attract buyers. It is illegal to import snake wine to many countries, including the United States, because the Cobra and other snakes killed in production are often endangered species.
