Another tragedy has come to Virginia Tech after a student was knife pricked to death Wednesday evening, January 21, 2009. A student from China has been accused of murder in the fatal knife attack on a female student on campus at Virginia Tech, first kill American University as a deadly mass shooting in 2007. This was the first killings at the school since a deadly mass shooting took place in 2007. The murder took place in the Graduate Life Center on campus, where an Asian girls were found dead. A male suspect was taken into custody by a university press release.
Campus police received the call about the stabbing shortly after 7 pm When the officers arrive, the woman was already dead. Investigators said couple knew each other. They found a knife on the ground, which they consider to be the murder weapon. Va. Tech. Spokesman Larry Hincker says the school is trying to inform the family of both suspect and victim, but it is difficult because they are not from the U.S.
The revised warning was first used last November when a shell exploded from a nail gun produced sounds similar to gunfire near a school. During the scare, police searched residence hall before the sounds came from the tool.
