Milan menswear shows off to a suave and sophisticated start yesterday with a bowtie-heavy collection (worn two at a time - one fastened and one left undone), that saw dinner jackets given a casual edge worn, as they were, over denim jackets. Giorgio Armani, however, kept things polished as ever with broad shoulders, elegant tailoring and a sleek colour palette of steely grey, navy and black with splashes of cerulean and the deepest of aqua for good measure.Things got even more colourful over at Iceberg, where the boys took to the catwalk in primary brights on jumpers and huge trailing scarves, for look was both laidback and cool. John Varvatos was feeling blue - navy blue - with a collection comprising neat silhouettes and a rock n' roll-meets-folk edge when it came to the styling. Ermenegildo Zegna, meanwhile, lightened the mood with toffee tones and caramel shades.
