Honda sends legal notice to Maruti for SX4 ads

Financial Honda Cars India has slapped a legal notice on Maruti Suzuki India over an advertisement that compares the "fake" his new Honda City Sedan under SX4. The notice was served on January 13. "Maruti ad code claims that City's entry-level model is not an integrated stereo system as standard, and that the car is shorter and smaller in size compared with the SX4.
Advertisement, Honda claims, incorrect, incomplete and distorted statements with the intent to mislead customers, which constitute unfair trade practices. Honda claims that the ad is an attempt to reject the new city, which was launched in November. HSCI MSI is accused of deliberately "false" to reduce its reputation and lead to a negative effect on sales of new Honda City.Maruti authorities confirmed that a legal notice was served on the company. "We are examining the right questions, and will take appropriate action if and when necessary," said a Maruti spokesman.
