If you have been gaming as long as we have, you know that the column is one of the great Sega Puzzle. Like most puzzle games, the object is simply to line up four same-colored beads - horizontally, vertically or diagonally - and see them explode.
Whether you are familiar with the game or not, we have good news: Sega giving away iPhone version of Columns for free in celebration of U.S. Independence Day. The program will be free starting noon Friday 3 July, all the way Monday 6 July. Sega does not specify a time zone, so we suggest that you avoid downloading it, if the price sounds anything but free.
Admittedly, Columns Deluxe - which includes ports in the Columns and Puyo Pop - only $ 1.99 normally. It has not been great reviews either. But hey, it's hard to argue with free.
