At FPD International 2007 show in Japan this week, Samsung has introduced a new 40-inch diagonal Full HD LCD TV screen, which is an extremely thin, measuring at 10mm thick. The new thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD is the thinnest profile ever for a full-size HDTV. 10mm is the typical thickness of 20-inch LCD monitors, which usually is much thinner than normal HDTV sets.
