Amarnath Yatra 2009 for online registration has begun in India in Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited branches. The annual Amarnath Yatra in 2009 will start on June 7 and will end on August 5. The annual Amarnath Yatra is undertaken by thousands of devotees to the world famous cave shrine in Himalayas in Jammu and Kashmir State of India. The cave shrine is noted for the formation of a natural Shiva Lingam. The natural ‘ice lingam’ is formed by the ice droplets from the rooftop of the vast cave. It is a difficult journey and involves trekking at high altitude.
Registration for this year's Yatra, on Pahalgam and Baltal routes will commence from May 20 in 110 designated branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank. Online registration for the yatra is available on the website :
Amarnath cave in the Hindu religion's most famous temples of Lord Shiva, the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir in're dedicated to Jammu and Kashmir government organises the Amarnath Yatra every year during the month of July - August.
