Due to bomb warning Killers gig cancelled and rescheduled for May 29

The Killers’ Amsterdam appearance scheduled for Thursday night was postponed after terrorists threatened to blow up buildings in the European city.

A performance by The Killers in Amsterdam reportedly had to be cancelled after police received a bomb threat.

The US rockers were due to play at the city's Heineken Music Hall on Thursday evening, but the show was called off after police were anonymously told about planned explosions at the venue.

The Daily Star reports that six men and a woman have been arrested on charges of preparing a terrorist attack.

Police say the call came from an unregistered cell phone in Brussels, Belgium, and that the caller mentioned the name of one of the suspects and locations for police to search.

Since the caller specifically mentioned an Ikea store, police closed several of the chain’s Amsterdam outlets this morning. Police also shutdown a movie theatre and, of course, The Killers’s appearance.

The Killers were to play at the Heineken Music Hall tonight. At this time it is not known if the band will be able to reschedule the gig.
