Wednesday Launching Sony Introduces new range of 14 new Bravia LCDs with the world’s two firsts to its credit. Sony has introduced new models in S, V, W and Z series with beautiful lines outside and powerful technologies inside.

The new models all feature 1920 x 1080 full high-definition resolution, 10-bit panels and, in select models, Motionflow 120Hz high frame rate technology, as well as x.v.Color capability.

Sony's BRAVIA Engine EX full digital video processing system with Digital Reality Creation-Multifunction v1.0 promise exceptional picture by up converting common standard definition signals like DVDs and non-HD broadcasts to better match the television's capabilities.

The company is targeting a sales volume of 4.5 lakh units in the current fiscal, an increase of more than 60 per cent as compared to 2.80 lakh units in the last fiscal.

The company said that last Diwali, they took the decision to stop production of CRT TVs. As Sony is focusing more on LCD screens, it will soon completely exit the CRT segment.

The new range of LCDs in India is priced in the range of Rs. 16,000-2.99 lakh.
